Orange Pekoe is abbreviated to OP which is actually not a tea type at all, it’s a grade of tea and it describes the type of leaf used for making tea. In general, OP denotes that the tea is loose leaf and of medium to high quality. A grade of OP can refer to almost any loose leaf black tea.This robust tea has a moderate amount of caffeine, and can be enjoyed on its own or with milk and honey. OP tea has a forest-like scent, the liquor generally has a light golden reddish color with a delicate lighter taste. The neat, attractive leaf with balanced, sweet notes of dried fruit. Black OP works extremely well as a base tea for many different blends and flavored teas, as the base flavor is smooth very approachable.
