Black Tea Mao Feng #2
Mao Feng refers to the type of tea and literally means ‘fur peak’, similarly to the famous Huang Shan Mao Feng, this refers to the hairs found on buds when it is harvested. Black tea is one of the most recent types to be produced: it was first made in China, possibly in response to European tastes, in the late 1700s or early 1800s. This is a great tea to take on its own or it’s got enough body to use with a little bit of milk. The aroma is light floral and chocolatey, the taste is bold but smooth, fruity taste with a lingering, mellow and sweet aftertaste. It is aromatic, smooth, sweet, and rich with a silky texture and cocoa notes in the flavor. The taste is quite sweet, lively and the texture silky.
